Our Story

It Started at 2 AM in a Separate Bedroom.

I used to drag through every morning like I hadn't slept at all. Mouth dry as sandpaper. Head so foggy I couldn't think straight until my second coffee. And the snoring — my partner said I sounded like a broken diesel engine. She wasn't laughing.

We started sleeping in separate rooms. Not because we wanted to. Because she couldn't take it anymore.

That quiet distance between us scared me more than the exhaustion ever did.

I Tried Everything. Nothing Worked.

The CPAP machine felt like strapping a Darth Vader helmet to my face. My jaw would slack open and the air leaked straight out, leaving me with the same dry throat I started with. Three weeks and it was in the closet.

Mouthguards wrecked my jaw. Chin straps made things worse. Then a progressive dentist told me something that changed everything: "Your mouth falls open when you sleep. Close it, and the breathing fixes itself."

She recommended mouth taping. A fifty-cent habit that sounded too simple to believe.

Every Tape on the Market Failed Me Differently.

The aggressive fabric tapes held all night — but peeling them off felt like a waxing strip across my lips. Blisters. Raw skin. If you have facial hair, forget it.

The gentle clinical strips? Comfortable going on, useless by midnight. I'd wake up mouth-breathing again like nothing changed.

The cheap three-dollar drugstore tape was the worst. Surgical adhesive designed for flat skin on your arm, not the soft tissue of your lips. After a week, my lips were so irritated I needed a recovery cream just to eat.

Every option was the same cruel trade-off: strong enough to stay on but brutal to remove, or gentle enough to feel okay but gone before midnight.

So I Stopped Searching and Started Building.

I became obsessed with one question: Why does it have to be one or the other?

I partnered with biochemical engineers who didn't just understand tape — they understood skin. Together, we developed a medium-tack hypoallergenic response adhesive. In plain language: it holds firm against your lips all night, then releases cleanly the moment you peel it in the morning. No pulling. No residue. No raw skin. No ripped-out beard hairs.

We tested it on sensitive skin. On facial hair. On people who had given up on every other tape entirely.

It worked.

Our Promise.

Serene Tape exists because nothing else did. We built it because we lived in that gap — between tapes that destroy your face and tapes that fall off before midnight.

We will never trade your comfort for performance. We will never use cheap industrial adhesives on the most delicate skin on your face. We will never compromise.

One gentle strip. All-night hold. Pain-free morning. Real rest — the kind you forgot was possible.

Welcome to Serene.
